Matthew Mullins has been involved in martial arts for over 13+ years. Originally from Chicago, Matt studied with legendry martial arts instructor John Sharkey in the art of Shorei-Ryu. Like his predecessor Mike Chaturantabut, Matt quickly took to the martial arts tournament circuit competing at a national level by the age of 13.

Matt excelled in open forms, weapons and point fighting and won some of the most prestigious national events in the country, including the AKA Grand Nationals, the Diamond Nationals, and the Bluegrass Nationals. At the age of 16 Matt won his first WKA world title in Dublin Ireland; 4 more world titles would follow in the next 3 years.

Now living in Los Angeles Matt is pursuing a TV and Film career. You can see Matt in some of your favorite commercials and print advertisements, such as NBC, Pepsi, Applebee's, Sunglass hut, Sears, Nike, American Online and Winn Dixie . You can also see Matt in the Hit TV Shows "30 Seconds to Fame" and "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" on Fox and "The Wayne Brady Show" on NBC.

Apart from TV and Film Matt has also been performing with Sideswipe Performance team. As a proprietor of Sideswipe, Matt has recently completed performances for the Casio Exilim at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, The Chicago Bulls half time show in Chicago, and Alcon Vision Company. Matt was a part of the hit video game Tao Feng (fists of lotus) for the X-box, and stared on Discovery Channel's Extreme Martial Arts, The Hidden World of Martial Arts.
